Great locations, old property but I guess Europe is like that.

Good: it is located in the city center around most attractions. I thought the staff was caring and knowledgeable.

Good: Excellent location, metro, bus, tram 1 minute away, however, at least in the interior rooms there is no sound (well no view, but total silence). The bus from airport stops in front of the hotel, nice option for night travels Excellent staff, friendly and nice. The rooms are ok in terms of price/quality. The breakfast room looks fabolous. The neibourhood seems safe. Bad: Breakfast could be more diversified, but in any case it covers all preferences in basic terms: cereals, vegetables, eggs, meat, fruit, coffee, etc

Good: The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The small table and two chairs we had in our room were very useful for when we ate meals there. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. We really liked the combination of Old World European style in the lobby of the hotel with the modern and comfortable room. The location is near a major Metro hub and plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and a Starbucks.

Lovely old hotel conveniently situated downtown and walking distance to popular districts. Close to train station and City Tour bus stops. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms overlook a busy main thoroughfare, making it noisy both in daytime and at night - bring earplugs!

Location is perfect near a hub for public transport. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room had nice size but was very warm (unclear if AC worked or not). All in all great value.

Good: breakfast and location were excellent. The staff was very friendly, especially I would like to thank to reception for their warm welcoming and effort to satisfy all the customers. Everything went very well. the location is really very nice just a few steps to Astoria metro station. I attanded a conference in Expo and it took me only 15 mins from the hotel to Expo everyday and I also stayed very close to all historic places. the refurbished rooms are better I recommend them to book. You find everything needed in the room. And the breakfast was great, to be honest the best that I have ever had in Europe. i recommend this hotel. Bad: The old rooms need to be refurbished. but the new ones are excellent.

Sehr schönes Hotel, welches schön zentral gelegen ist. Frühstück war ebenfalls top. Einziges Manko, der Stil bzw. die Einrichtung ist bewusst etwas älter im schicken Stil gehalten. Uns hat das aber nicht gestört.

Good: Awesome location. Food, tram, attractions are very near by. We got the best room after upgrade to 2 room suits. Mr. Receptionist was very gentle and very helpful to guide us about the city tour and shopping. It was fantastic stay at the hotel.

Good: I had a great time in the hotel. A great place. The restaurant is the best. My waiter and the restaurant manager are the best. The reception guy was super-friendly. A great classic hotel to stay in a center of Budapest. A walking distance to the museums, their main St. Stephan cathedral and the bridges. The room is decorated in the Baroque style and had a mini-fridge. Highly recommend.

Good: A hotel gyönyörű. A régi stílus és a modern ötvözete. Tetszett, hogy a földszinten az egyik felvonó mindig üresen várt, de fentről lefelé tartva is csak pár másodpercet kellett várni a liftre. Bad: A takarítás kicsit mintha elnagyolt lenne: A fotel mellett találtam két nagyobb zacskómaradványt, illetve a wc-ben az ajtó mögött egy üres wc-gurigát.

Good: Das Astoria ist ein wunderschönes altes Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, schon der Eintritt ins Foyer macht gute Laune und die Zimmer sind prima ausgestattet. Unsere Zimmer hatten Fenster zu einem sehr engen Lichtschacht, ein eher unattraktiver Ausblick. Aber da das Astoria an einer sehr befahrenen Kreuzung liegt, garantierte diese Lage eine sehr ruhige ungestörte Nacht, es hat eben alles zwei Seiten. Die Frühstücksauswahl war gut. Bad: Nichts, was den guten Gesamteindruck beeinträchtigt.

Good: The location was very good, the metro was right next to the hotel, it was also very easy to reach many touristic areas on foot. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was very good. We liked the lemon water dispenser opposite the reception :) We also liked the pillows of different hardness, the quality of the extra bed for our child, the originality of the restaurant and the general cleanliness of the hotel. Bad: There was nothing missing in the room we stayed in, except that there was no balcony. Our room was on the side facing the main street, which was nice in a way because we could see almost the whole street through the window. But on the other hand, the noise from the street at night was coming into the room. I would also like to point out that when the window is closed, the noises decrease a lot.

Good: Room spacious. Old-fashioned with tall ceiling. Buffet breakfast very good. Location is excellent with metro station just outside the hotel. In fact is hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the river and shopping district, many shops and restaurants around. We did not use the metro at all as we preferred to explore the city by walking. Budapest is not big, perfect for walking around. Bad: In general, it is ok. No particular dislike.

Good: Nos tocó una habitación en la zona renovada del edificio, por lo que era todo nuevo. El lobby y la cafetería son antiguos y tienen un aire majestuoso y decadente, al igual que la propia ciudad de Budapest. La habitación es cómoda y la ubicación es muy conveniente: céntrica y justo frente a la parada del autobús del aeropuerto. Bad: La limpieza es bastante mejorable: había algunas superficies por las que al pasar el dedo quedaba la marca en la capa de polvo y eso no cambió en las 5 noches que estuvimos, a pesar de haber puesto el cartel de "limpieza diaria completa" (nunca he estado en un hotel 4* en el que solo limpien si lo pides)

Good: Great ,central location, historical, beautiful Art Deco building. Decent cafes and restaurants are in walkable distance. Friendly and welcoming staff. Bad: Courtyard facing windows from my suite. So window view wasn't picturesque as you'd expect it to be.

Good: Das Astoria hat in jeder Hinsicht alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir haben es gebucht, weil wir ein nostalgisches Hotel in Innenstadtnähe gesucht haben, um unserer Budapestreise das passende Flair zu geben - und genau das haben wir bekommen. Das Hotel ist wunderschön und passt perfekt in diese zauberhafte Stadt. Das Personal war sehr professionell und zuvorkommend, die Ausstattung hat unglaublich viel Charme und versprüht den Glanz vergangener Zeiten. Bad: Wir haben keine Kritikpunkte.

Fui a la cafetería de este hotel. Fue una experiencia muy positiva, el trato de los camareros ha sido insuperable. De 15h a 17h tienen una oferta de Capuchino+Tarta a elegir por 1290 HUF.

Good: Albergo in ottima posizione: 10 metri dalla fermata della metro, 30 metri dalla partenza dei bus turistici; nelle vicinanze anche tanti negozi e servizi. Ascensori moderni ed efficienti. Camera di dimensioni adeguate, anche con due poltrone e un tavolino. Bagno pulito e moderno, con una doccia strepitosa: difficile trovarne di migliori! Colazione a buffet, di buona qualità e con molta scelta, sia dolce che salato. Personale gentile sia al ristorante che alla reception. Considerando che siamo al centro di Budapest il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. E con 25 euro in più abbiamo potuto mantenere la camera fino alle 16.30 nel giorno del check-out, che è un bel vantaggio se l'aereo per tornare a casa parte la sera... Bad: Il mobilio è datato e avrebbe bisogno di più di una rinfrescata, sia nelle camere che nella zona della reception. Nella camera ci sarebbe stato bene anche un bollitore per fare il the o il caffè. E poi nel bagno non c'è il bidet, ma in certi Paesi più che una mancanza è una forma di vita, e purtroppo non c'è niente da fare...

Good: Breakfast was awesome and location is right near the center of town. Bad: Bathroom was dirty when we arrived but they upgraded us into a bigger room. That bathroom was still dirty. No parking at the hotel, but paid parking near by.

Good: Amazing location- Big rooms with balcony and view- bed was so smooth- Hop on Hop off bus stop right infront Restuarents all in 50mtrs Walkable distance to most of the attractions Boad ride stop is near by as well. Bad: Check out time should be changed from 11am -12 noon. Its really really a big drawback.

Good: Staff cortese ed accogliente. Struttura pulita sia in camera che nelle parti comuni. Letto comodo. Ottima l'idea del locale con solo water e lavandino separato da un altro locale con docvia e lavandino all'interno della stessa camera. Colazione inclusa nel pernottamento con ampia scelta sia nel dolce che nel salato, tutto di ottima qualità. Abbiamo gradito lo stile architettonico e degli arredi, un tuffo nel passato.

Good: Almost all went well. Good attentive staff made it perfect. Room did not have a kettle but was provided on request with cups. Bad: Room was small for 3 persons/beds.

Good: De locatie was midden in Boedapest, werkelijk fantastisch. Wel wat geluid, maar met het raam dicht, was het prima. We hadden een gezinskamer gereserveerd (2-persoonsbed + extra bed). Dit stond netjes klaar. Het personeel was super behulpzaam en aardig. Bad: De kamer had een stofzuigbeurt kunnen gebruiken.
